Heather's 55th Birthday Party

Join Mirabella and I in a celebratory dance and party in the Gypsy Camp tonight. The Gypsies have put down those barn doors and we will dance by the moonlight, tell stories and sing songs into the wee hours of the morning. I think everyone will be back on those hammocks tomorrow afternoon Gail. The camp may be very silent as tired folks find places to curl up and sleep and dream.

I am as usual running late, good excuse this time,I was looking in all the opportunity/recycled/thrift shops for something to wear to the Birthday Party...
What does one wear to a 55th of she who is all that we desire in an Enchantress....
I felt I must do her proud and find a costume that would show her how much I love and admire her.
Not too sloppy ,she might shed a tear..I don't want that to happen,I like to appeal to her wild side not her serious teacher.
profile..
So as I looked and looked I could not find anything that appealed to me...but JUST then I spied something hanging on a rack that said..RETRO CLOTHING
And there it was.....It had been used for a costume party held on a boat I was informed by the volunteer manning the shop that day.....
The invited guests to the birthday party were asked to come dressed in a nautical theme (Not naughty)
And so into the changing room I went and put on my intended purchase....
I was to come to the 55th as a MERMAID....Green and blue fish net material, with ad under garment of pale silver satin ..with it came a long fishy tail with spikey scales dragging along for about 2 feet ,good for the modern waltz unless it was in three time ,I could be confident doing this....
I looked different to ridiculous I thought and I was able to fit into a size 14 - pretty good I thought....So I purchased my Retro costume for $ 3.50(Including silver sandles) and off I set to the Gypsy Camp
Arriving there at midnight to find all in progress ,house full sign up on the barn door.
I made my entrance to the tune of the Gypsy Polka ,now how to do this in my mermaid costume was a sight to see ,I shall not describe it ,but as the barn was full it didn't matter, everyone was so happy having a great time nobody noticed if you were doing the 3 step or the barn dance or the Gypsy polka ,all that mattered that they were having a great time.
But guess what I had forgotten to buy a birthday gift.
How could I(Worried about how I would look) took up too much time,I blame HER(E) partly because she didn't tell me it was her 55th Birthday in fact she didn,t tell me it was her birthday at all,I only found out when I saw bunches of tulips being delivered from a local florist...
Never mind ,she might forgive me and anyway it looks like one great party and she will no doubt enjoy it all as her wild side emerges....maybe the dance of the 7 veils even...
Do you know if there is such a thing as a MERMAN ?.....I need a partner desparately
