My Mother

My Mother
encouraged my reading
and love of books.

My Mother
expanded my imagination
and took them to the theatre.

My Mother
taught me to stand
on my own two feet.

My Mother
and I had our differences
that never were resolved.

My Mother
will always be my Mother
and I love her still.
