Love is never lost

Someone I consider a dear friend also lost her mother today, I sat and sketched this and wrote the first poem in living memory, I'd given up on ever writing one. This is for all who've lost a loved one recently.

Legacy

What is lost,
Oft returns.
Replaced
in life renewed

What good fortune,
Mankind can,
Hold memories,
Unchanged.

All who once
lived,
began a legacy,
now ripple through eternity.

Aletta,
Beautiful sentiments so powerfully expressed. Poetry can be brief and yet say so much. Well done in having the courage to let the words pour forth.

Whick only proves that poetry is a function of heart more than hand. Your moving "growth" pictures are certainly poetry. People now create entire blogs as a combination of visual, vocal and literary impresions as an art form.

You are blessed

Beautiful image and words. Everything seems to be a cycle.
